Kanagawa 2014

In response to the architect’s concept “Wa (Circle), Wa (Loop), Wa (Harmony)” two sheets of washi made in a total length of 15 meters were used for the work. To avoid giving any oppressive impressions, a dynamically-shaped light object was suspended to float above and encircle the atrium space. For the undersurface, an uneven and shaded texture was created to make any dust inconspicuous, and tear, stain, and flame-proof secondary processing was applied to ensure the beauty of the work in the years to come.
