ERIKO HORIKI Exhibition – The Space Created by Two Sheets of Washi
Tokyo 2007
This installation uses just two sheets of washi measuring 15m × 3m. It was formed by suspending the washi with curved tapestry bars. The washi is designed with sun and moon motifs. The space is infused with soul through the gentle light from the two sheets. The interplay between the atmosphere on this side and what is imagined on the other side creates the sense of breathing.
